With this twist you can make (surprise surprise) Apples and Tulips. Pig noses, barrels of guns. It's also a great way to hide a knot.
Balloons needed:
Any balloon basically, even hearts and rounds.

1 Push the knot inside the balloon.

2 Grab the knot with your other hand.

3 Extract your finger.
Note: Instead of your finger you can also use a balloon straw. This allows you to push the knot in really really deep without having trouble getting your finger out.

4 Twist a bubble just before the knot.
